Trevon Harris was only 13 years old when he passed, yet his life carried a depth of purpose far beyond his years. He lived fully and spoke with wisdom that touched both young and old. Trevon made people feel seen, valued, and inspired.
His deep love of basketball led him to support all teams, whether they were winning or losing, but his favorite team was the Golden State Warriors, especially Stephen Curry.

Trevon admired not just the game, but the heart, discipline, and perseverance behind it.
Faith was also at the center of Trevon. He lived the value of his favorite scripture – Philippians 4:13 – everyday.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”
Trevon was a giver. His family talks often of his selfless acts. One the family shares with students is about his shoes: Trevon once gave away his own pair of Jordans to another child in need. That single act of kindness became the inspiration behind the children’s book “Kicks,” created in his honor to share his story and teach others the importance of compassion, generosity, and love.

His life and spirit were also recognized in his Godmother Shaniqua Freeman’s book “Never Give Up,” continuing to inspire others to walk in faith, strength, and perseverance.
School was paramount to Trevon’s life. A straight “A” student, Trevon led by example and demanded excellence from himself. He attended EMPOWER Charter School, founded by Demi Brown, a Spanish Immersion and CrossFit-based program that promotes both academic achievement and physical strength.
His life and impact were formally honored by the California State Legislature Assembly Resolution, recognizing his character, achievements, and the lasting mark he left on his community.

His legacy continues to live on through the Trevon Harris Memorial Award, presented each year at EMPOWER Charter School to a student who reflects his leadership, character, and commitment to excellence.
Trevon’s impact is everlasting. His life continues to inspire faith, purpose, and kindness in everyone who hears his story.

The Meaning Behind the Bee
The bee became a meaningful symbol for our family after Trevon’s passing, rooted in a moment that connected deeply to who he was.
When I asked, “Why a bee?” what came to me was simple:
B for basketball.
B-ball for life.
This was connected to his basketball gift for his last birthday.
The bee is not just a symbol. It is a connection, a message, and a promise that his legacy lives on.
Through every sighting, I am reminded to BeLieve — that love never leaves, purpose never dies, and Trevon is still with us.

Believe
IN THE LEGACY.
IN THE PURPOSE.
IN TREVON.
